Roadrunner.
Roadrunner in my yard.

On my early morning wander I saw a substantial coyote operate across the street into my friend’s garden. I marveled at his beauty and was not fearful like I’ve been just before with a coyote sighting. His speed instructed me he required to get significantly absent from us.

Olive the cat and I watched quail in our yard. They ended up squawking and preventing as they scouted for birdseed. I’m surprised at how quickly the babies grew up. All the quail are the similar dimensions now. I marvel if the quail keep collectively as households from newborn chicks as a result of adulthood?

I’ve been fascinated watching Harris hawks glide and circle earlier mentioned my backyard. I’ve tried using to movie them, but it is hard simply because the solar is in my eyes and I just cannot see if I’m capturing them. Possibly I shouldn’t set birdseed out simply because it attracts the quail — who then are prey for the hawks. I ought to have learned my classes when the hawk crashed into a window and broke it!

I went to the hardware and grocery retail store and all the things I desired was in stock. In the spring there had been vacant cabinets. I try to remember looking for Tater Tots for months, but they weren’t accessible. We were owning good friends around for burgers and I needed to provide Tater Tots.

During the pandemic, I would grocery store for my father who was in his late 80s (he’s 90 now). We did not really feel it was harmless for him at his age to go out. I felt like I was putting my lifestyle in risk grocery searching. They had been always out of my dad’s favored Jimmy Dean’s sausage, egg and cheese biscuits.

Who would have assumed Tater Tots and Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches would be in need all through a pandemic?

Quail in the backyard.

Seeing a Harris hawk circling in the sky.

Moreover bathroom paper, what do you keep in mind obtaining difficulties getting all through the pandemic?
